Week 2 Sketches - Insects

INSECTS! Insects are without a doubt weird creatures, most of the time they feel like they are from different planets. We research again a arrange of insects and here are those sketches

 Seeing how much insects live in Massachusetts (where I live) and from Planet Earth, the crazy styles of Birds; rain forest were my main source of inspirations. Rain forest is filled with insects, crazy looking ones actually! 

Death Moth Caterpillar ( Favorite )

 These are the final paintings I did of the Death Moth Caterpillars. I fell in love with the colors and couldn't help myself diving into the painting process. 

Week 1 Sketches - Mammals

Our first week of Sketches, we research multiples mammals and how their anatomy generally works. Drawings below are sketches of mammals that I researched.

 After these sketches we choose one we want to do fleshed out drawings/painting of. I went with cats and tried to find poses everyone has seen cats in.
